EHL starts tomorrow and our first opponent is Surte Sisu HC from Sweden. I think we haven´t played against these guys yet in the NHL13. I did some research and their stats are not that good and they havent played much 6vs6 matches, but we cant underestimate them. In the NHL12 Europe Cup we played against them twice. First game they won 4-5 in overtime but we did better in the second game and won it 3-1. So it isn´t going to be a piece of cake. Will see. I am going to do a little report here about those first two games tomorrow or at thursday.
Thurday we have our second EHL games and again against some talented swedes. Nordic (mothafcking) Nosebleed. They are good! We better be ready. But lets focus first on Surte Sisu HC. More about NNb later.
Lets talk about basketcase! Please put Green Days "basket case" playing while reading my super important text. So, HC Iskukoukku gave up before the tournament even started. Therefore an amateur group named "Mighty Rangers" from Russia took their place in the tournament. To me it sounds pretty obvious that Mighty Rangers should come to group D, because thats where HC Iskukoukku was. However now consolehockey-admin is going to move Wrong Door Danglers to group D and Mighty Rangers to group A, so that groups would be more even! I get the idea of it but I still dont agree. The idea of a fair draw loses its meaning! I mean luck is and should be a part of the deal in these draws. Now this "match fixing" kind of battles against it. And now to the basketcase! I was told that 16 teams were placed in so called "1st basket" that supposed to have the best teams in it. Okay, it is pretty hard to limit those teams good enough to 1st basket, to 16. When I watch these groups, there are 18 "1st basket"-candidates. In group A there are 6 of them. In group B there are 4 of them. In group C there are 3 of them and in group D there are 5 of them (HC Iskukoukku included). So if you are going to even the groups, you should take a good look at all four of them before doing anything! I have spoken. I wont cry about this anymore! :)
Tomorrow it begins!
